In 2002 an amazing, and amazingly short-lived, series came to Fox television. Fox beat up, chopped, and spit out this wonderful show. However, the cast, crew, and fans wouldn't let the show die. This poor unassuming serial is called Firefly. If Star Trek (the original series) was considered a "wagon train in space", this new launch of a sci-fi western by Joss Whedon truly captured and remade the theme. Typically the cancellation of a series such as this, with only eleven (of fourteen) episodes aired, would mean the end, but it quite simply isn't.
